VIKING supports Aufbauwerk der Jugend with gardening power tools

In time for the start of the gardening season, VIKING Managing Director Peter Pretzsch recently presented Aufbauwerk der Jugend, an organisation for the vocational training of young people with special needs in Tyrol, with a garden shredder and a petrol lawn mower. The machines were urgently needed in order to tend the grounds at the Aufbauwerk der Jugend and ensure that the gardening and caretaking training departments are able to operate in the usual fashion. Aufbauwerk der Jugend allows its participants to obtain qualifications meeting the requirements of the primary labour market in a number of training areas.

The lawnmower will be used in the institution's organic farm and Lachhof sites in Volders, while the shredder will perform valuable services at the Bad Häring site. "We're delighted that in VIKING, we can count on a reliable partner which continuously supports our organisation," says Managing Director of the Aufbauwerk, Johann Aigner.

For the participants at the Aufbauwerk sites, gardening work represents an ideal training activity. The outdoor work and physical exercise promotes motor, psycho-social and practical life skills, which are of crucial importance for professional integration.

Gardening power tool manufacturer VIKING's Managing Director, Peter Pretzsch, adds: "We are very pleased to support this good cause. We also find it highly appealing to be able perform acts of sponsorship with our most typical products, in this case a lawn mower and a garden shredder."
