VIKING brand products have recently received a whole host of design awards. The new MI 632 and MI 632 P robotic mowers, which were recently introduced onto the market with great success, were entered for three design awards by the Langkampfen-based garden tool manufacturer – and promptly won them all.
From the panel of judges of the prestigious "red dot design awards" the robotic mowers, dubbed iMows by VIKING, even obtained the "best of the best" rating, an additional award that only few entrants achieve. In addition to design elements, the experts also evaluate factors such as degree of innovation and functionality. The VIKING robotic mowers also garnered prizes in the renowned iF Design Award, which has, like the „red dot design award", been in existence since the 1950s, and in the fairly recent "Plus X-Award".
VIKING was also extremely pleased with the achievements of its ride-on mower product group. The T5 and T6 Series lawn tractors, for example, which VIKING presented with improved functionality and a new look in 2014, also won "red dot design awards".
VIKING Managing Director, Dr. Peter Pretzsch is delighted: "The prizes we have won confirm our innovative strength and our philosophy – outstanding performance, convenient solutions as well as good looks result in satisfied customers."
VIKING GmbH produces and sells lawn mowers, robotic mowers, ride-on mowers, scarifiers, garden shredders and tillers. VIKING is a member of the STIHL Group and achieved a turnover of €140 million with 317 employees in 2012. Sales partners for the VIKING gardening power tools are service-providing specialist dealers.
