VIKING honoured once again

New ride-on mower wins "red dot design award"

Since March 2011, the new VIKING R4 Series ride-on mowers have been rolling off the production line. And only a few days later, the Tyrol-based gardening power tool manufacturer succeeded in obtaining the internationally-renowned "red dot product design award 2011" for the MR 4082 model.

The new ride-on mower from Langkampfen asserted itself against a large participant field of 1,700 companies from over 60 countries and approximately 4,400 submissions. The "red dot for intelligent product design" was awarded according to assessment criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, durability and ecological compatibility.

Thus, early on in the 2011 gardening season, VIKING was able to win significant international awards for three products from its extensive 2011 innovation series – the electric and battery-powered 3 Series lawn mowers, new tillers and new ride-on mowers. For the Langkampfen company, this award represents a further endorsement of its premium brand strategy.
