"We are inclusive" seal of approval for STIHL Tirol

Langkampfen, 23.02.2022

On 22nd February 2022, the garden equipment manufacturer STIHL Tirol, based in Langkampfen, was recognised for its exemplary commitment to the employment of people with disabilities and health impairments during an online ceremony organised by the Social Ministry Service Tyrol (Sozialministeriumservice Tirol). The company also received this accolade in 2015 and 2019 – it has now been been reaffirmed.

The managing director of STIHL Tirol, Clemens Schaller, is thrilled with the award and emphasises that: "Social responsibility plays a major role at STIHL Tirol. The diversity of our employees enriches our company, making our teams stronger, more creative and more efficient. Ultimately, the entire company benefits from active inclusion." Alois Lamplmeier, chairman of the works council at STIHL Tirol, adds: "By employing people with disabilities, we want to safeguard their opportunities, create new prospects and support them in leading an independent life. We believe this is important, especially in challenging times."

STIHL Tirol often awards open bid contracts to regional institutions that employ people with disabilities. The company works with the social organisation Lebenshilfe Kufstein, for example. Social sponsoring campaigns are also held regularly, for example with the RollOn association and the region's Diakonie social welfare organisations.
