New STIHL central warehouse opens

On 14 November 2022, the new STIHL central warehouse in Völklingen, Germany, was officially opened with an inauguration ceremony. The new building, operated by Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, will enable the entire STIHL Group to expand its warehouse capacities and enhance its logistical efficiency and speed.

For STIHL Tirol, the new modern building has a very special significance, as highlighted by Managing Director Clemens Schaller: “We are delighted to be entrusted with the operational management of the new STIHL central warehouse and thus make a significant contribution to the further growth of the STIHL Group.”

STIHL Tirol was heavily involved in the project, from the planning right through to the start of operations. All tools produced in Tyrol, as well as cordless products, will be stored at the new logistics and distribution site before starting their journey to STIHL customers worldwide.

The warehouse, which is the largest in the STIHL Group with a total area of around 58,000 square metres, boasts state-of-the-art warehousing and picking technology for customer-focused market supply.

More details can be found in the press release.
