A strong 2020

Thanks to growth of more than 26 percent compared to 2019, STIHL Tirol GmbH was able to increase its turnover to 576.2 million euros in the 2020 business year. A significant factor behind this gain in sales was the high demand for gardening tools and cordless products made in Tyrol. The contact and travel restrictions in the past financial year contributed to this increased demand, as many people spent more time at home and devoted their energies to gardening. The part-time "Kurzarbeit" scheme was also a nonissue at STIHL Tirol last year, on the contrary: the number of employees increased to 702 in 2020 (2019: 639).

STIHL Tirol is also looking optimistically towards the future: the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a plastics manufacturing facility on 29 April 2021 marked another milestone in the company's history. From summer 2022, an initial 10 injection moulding machines will go into operation on the newly developed site, which will cover an area of 3,500 m². This will lead to an increase in the company's level of in-house manufacturing activities. The result is a higher degree of independence and cost reductions in production and logistics, as well support for the STIHL Group's environmental strategy through the elimination of numerous truck journeys.

Even today, we are looking for motivated employees who want to work for one of the most innovative companies in the region. You can find details of the currently around 30 job vacancies at jobs.stihl.at
