How to make sure that your application is a success
How does the application process work at STIHL Tirol?
Once we have received your application, we will automatically send you an email confirming receipt. In the first stages of the process, candidates are chosen for initial interviews by members of our Human Resources Management team and the manager responsible for the position in question. You will receive a notification informing you whether or not you have been selected as a candidate as soon as possible.
In the case of some vacancies, we may conduct a second round of interviews with 2-3 applicants.
Applicants will be contacted with our final decision soon after this second round. If you are selected for the position, we will then discuss the important details concerning your employment and contract.
How should I apply?
In your own interest, we recommend that you submit your application via our online application form as it enables us to process your application more quickly. It also saves you time and money by avoiding the need to purchase expensive application portfolios and other such items. If you are unable to submit your application online, we are, of course, also happy to receive applications sent by email or post.
Which documents do I need to submit with my application?
We would like copies of the following documents (where available):
- Cover letter
- Curriculum vitae
- Training and education certificates (e.g. school, university or trainee/apprenticeship certificates)
- Certificates or other evidence regarding practical work (e.g. job references)
- Certificates, references or other evidence regarding relevant further education and training (e.g. language courses, forklift licences, etc.)
How can I write an impressive cover letter?
When writing your cover letter, you should try to concisely explain why you meet the requirements for the position in question and tell us why you particularly want to work in this field at STIHL Tirol.
What do I need to consider when writing my CV?
Your curriculum vitae should provide a record of your career to date, clearly specifying all dates (month and year) with no gaps. We recommend that you provide a short description of the most important tasks and activities involved for each of the occupations listed.
What do we consider to be particularly important during interviews?
When conducting interviews, we want to get to know you as a person and find out more about your career and your professional goals. We expect you to be punctual and polite and we also value honesty and authenticity.
Is the application procedure any different for school pupils and students?
The application process is generally the same for all applicants. In the case of school pupils and students, we normally only conduct one interview. We are, of course, aware that school-leavers and university graduates cannot offer the same level of experience as long-standing specialists and that your application will therefore be shorter in comparison.
Important information for applications for work experience days, holiday jobs and internships:
Please ensure that you always specify your desired dates (a period of at least four weeks) and field of activity in your application.
Can I apply for several positions at once?
You can apply for several different positions but you only need to submit one application. You can use your cover letter to specify other vacancies that have attracted your interest.
I have received a letter of rejection. Can I apply for another position?
You are, of course, welcome to apply again for a different position. Your skills and qualifications may well be better suited to another vacancy and this may result in us choosing you for the job.
Can I contact you to ask about the current status of my application?
You can rest assured that we carefully check every application and are also very reliable when it comes to sending you a response. We do, however, need time to properly process your application. Now and again, this process can take a few weeks, especially when a large number of people apply for one vacancy. We would therefore like to ask you to be patient while waiting for our response. We will try our best to keep you informed about the current status of your application. If you do not hear from us for a long time, please feel free to send us an email or contact us via telephone to enquire about how your application is progressing.

All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required and must be completed. Please ensure that your documents are complete before submitting your application. The maximum size for all attached files is 8 MB. If your Office documents contain any images, they should be compressed in order to ensure that the file is not too large.
