New central warehouse in Völklingen

At the end of May 2022, the topping out ceremony was held for the new STIHL central warehouse in Völklingen (Germany). STIHL Tirol is responsible for the operational management of the new logistics and distribution site. Operation of the new warehouse location will be carried out in collaboration with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.

In the future, all products manufactured by STIHL Tirol will be stored in Völklingen and shipped from there to STIHL sales subsidiaries and specialist dealers worldwide. The former warehouse in the French city of Strasbourg no longer had the capacity to keep up with increasing demand. Clemens Schaller, the managing director of STIHL Tirol, explains: "This important strategic step will enable us to meet the consistently high demand for STIHL products and serve our customers even better and faster."

At 58,000 square metres, the new central warehouse is the largest in the STIHL Group and not only impresses with its size but also thanks to its strategically favourable location in the border triangle of Germany, France and Luxembourg. The new STIHL central warehouse is scheduled to be fully operational at the beginning of 2023.
